It’s kind of embarrassing to mention that you’ve just now watched a movie that came out about 8 years ago, but I’ll talk about it anyways.
About a week ago I was watching Sweet Home Alabama starring Reese Witherspoon. I haven’t seen this movie yet, and it aired on one of my favorite channels that satellite television can offer, Oxygen. So, I decided to watch it – somewhat knowing that it would be a good movie (for a chick flick of course).
I am so glad I went online and purchased direct TV when I did because there were some awesome Directtv online specials and because this movie was hilarious and I wouldn’t have been able to watch it without my new television service! Especially the way that Reese Witherspoon’s character, Melanie playfully insults the southern culture. I am from the south, but jokes or imitations of the south don’t bother me. It all depends on how you were raised, and if you truly act like a hick in order for it to bother you. I am not a hick – just from a small town in Texas.
The only thing I hate about watching movies on television is that they always go to a commercial break at all the good parts. I suppose I should start buying the DVD’s when they come out, or I should invest in a DVR!
